I'm running because Ward 2 deserves a councillor who listens, communicates openly, and helps Bath grow responsibly without losing the village atmosphere we love.
About
I was born and raised in this area, and after a 37-year career in the natural gas industry I came home to retire. Bath has been home since 2018.
Throughout my career I have worked in both union and management environments. In my spare time I volunteered at many recreational and community events. Since moving to the Bath area, I have made my presence known in the village, whether volunteering, playing music or helping others with their household needs. I will continue to volunteer in the area and would love to work as your Councillor here in Bath, working towards building Bath better.

My vision for Bath
My vision for Bath over the next few years is that we keep growing in a responsible and welcoming way. New growth should be mindful of village life and of the rural roots that brought us here, or kept us here. That is our shared value.
I want to broaden what we can offer Bath residents and visitors alike, by enhancing our downtown, promoting recreational opportunities, and holding on to the village charm we have all come to expect.
New growth is inevitable in our village. Let's work together to help direct that growth to benefit the community.
Goals
To help build a shared vision for Bath, I have three goals in mind.

Bath needs someone on Council to speak up for all of its residents. My years of work experience and volunteering have prepared me well to engage with people, one on one and in a group.
I understand what it takes to work things out and build trust, whether in a team or leading one. I am comfortable with all kinds of audiences, so I am ready to carry our collective views to the Township and other venues.

Feedback on public policy and on projects with local impacts should be heard in a timely and thoughtful way. I will make no promises to change or fix every issue, but I can guarantee that I will listen to your concern with the full intent of finding a solution or a compromise, working with Township staff and my colleagues.
Communication is both speaking and listening, and I fully expect to carry out this position listening to you. I certainly have my own views on this community. Only by hearing from each of you, from all corners of Bath, will I know how to serve all of us.

Good decisions come from knowing what the County asks, what the Township has planned for, and then balancing those against what Bath residents and commercial operators see as the added value that keeps the village livable and sustainable.
There is much talk in this County and in the Township about operators wanting more industrial access to gravel, asphalt, concrete, water, solar, wind, batteries, data and gas. I see those operators as neighbours, but they should not overshadow the identity that lies in our agriculture, entrepreneurship, arts, waterfront, heritage, tourism and outdoor recreation.
Should I be elected, I will do my best to make sure the true identity of Bath is not lost, that we do not become a bedroom for other centres, a throughway to another facility, or a village that appeals mainly to a single audience. I want to act for all of us, on a broader picture, painted with a mindful view of what local really means.
How to vote
Loyalist Township votes by internet and telephone in 2026. There are no paper ballots and no polling stations, so you can vote from home, from the dock, or from anywhere you happen to be.

You must be on the voters list to cast a ballot. Check or update your registration at RegisterToVoteON.ca.

Step 2
The Township mails a Voter Information Letter to every elector, with your PIN and the instructions for voting. Keep it somewhere safe.
Step 3
Voting opens Saturday, October 17 at 10 a.m. and closes on voting day, Monday, October 26 at 8 p.m.
Need a hand? There is a voter help centre right here in Bath. Staff at the Bath Fire Hall, 241 Church Street can help you vote, fix your registration, or replace a lost PIN. There is a voting station on site.
Can you vote? You can if you are at least 18, a Canadian citizen, and you live in Loyalist Township or own or rent land here. Spouses of owners and tenants can vote too.
